Checklist for Participating Community Colleges

  • Email confirmation adhering to the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation scholarship guidelines

  • Set internal application due date and receive applications from students

  • Nominate eligible candidates for the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation Scholarship

  • Confirm each candidate meets the Foundation’s financial eligibility guidelines

  • Complete Initial Application Eligibility Confirmation for each nominated candidate

  • Obtain signed Information Release Form from student and send to the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation 

  • Send three complete applications to the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation by March 15

  • Confirm that the scholarship recipient’s FAFSA was approved and notify the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation

  • Inform the scholarship recipient of their award after notification from the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation

  • Notify the Foundation if the recipient has been awarded other large scholarships, such as the Karl S. Pister Opportunity Scholarship or the Jack Kent Cooke Transfer Scholarship, to confirm eligibility

  • Notify the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation of student’s admittance to UC college

  • Inform the student to submit a copy of their financial aid package, generated by their UC, to the Foundation as soon as it is available

  • Review the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation Scholarship requirements and forms with scholarship recipient
