Peggy D. Baskin
Peggy Baskin was born in Seattle, Washington in 1930. She attended Vassar College where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1952. Later in life, Peggy expanded her higher education and attended the Claremont Graduate School of Public Policy, where she received a Ph.D in 1983.
Jack Baskin, born in 1919, is a retired engineer, real estate broker and developer, and well known local philanthropist. He has resided in Santa Cruz, California for the past 40 years. Prior to this, his major business interests were in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
Executive Director and Board Member
Nicole Baran, MA, MSW is the Executive Director and Board Member of the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation. She created the infrastructure and established the direction of the foundation since its inception in 2007.
Born and raised in Carmel, California, Cammy Torgenrud earned three degrees at Stanford University: a B.A. in English, B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Education.
Robert Ridino resides in Aptos, California. After graduating from Glendale High School in Southern California, he married and relocated to Santa Cruz County in 1979, where his two children, Benjamin and Jennifer, were born.
Raised in southern Maine, Ann Mahoney spent her early years in New England and graduated from Wellesley College in 1965 with a degree in political science. In 1968, she earned a BA in Education from the University of Georgia.
