Grant Eligibility
In order to avoid wasting your time, the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be:
- A nonprofit organization with tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and organized for charitable purposes.
- We will occasionally consider a nonprofit organization with tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, and organized for charitable purposes.
- Aligned with our intersectional feminist mission of both gender AND racial equity, rather than just one or the other.
- An appropriate fit into one of our Funding Priorities, found here.
Other considerations:
- There is a preference for applicant organizations in which women and gender-expansive individuals of color are the primary decision-makers
- There is also a preference for applicant organizations that integrate gender equity into their personnel policies, such as robust parental leave, child care, flexible work schedules, and relationship abuse workplace policies.

Grants are restricted to the United States.
The Foundation will not consider requests to fund:
- Individuals, either through scholarships or other forms of financial assistance (except through our Scholarship Program)
- Scientific or medical research
- Sectarian purposes (programs that promote religious doctrine)
