The Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations that serve people and communities in Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties (the tribal lands of the Amah Mutsun, Ohlone, Chalon, Awaswas, and Esselen nations), occasionally in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, and organizations and programs with statewide impact across California or national impact across the US. The Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation believes that intersectional feminism is an essential principle in our grantmaking. We fund solutions to address the impact of racist and patriarchal structures facing women of color and gender-expansive individuals of color. The Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals; please review the Apply for a Grant instructions for more information.*Women and gender expansive refers to cis women and girls, trans women and girls, nonbinary, gender nonconforming, and genderqueer people, and any woman or girl-identified person.
