The Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation awarded $1.2 million in 2017 to organizations promoting gender equity throughout the Monterey Bay Peninsula and Santa Cruz.
Funded organizations work in areas such as reproductive rights, legal advocacy for immigrant women, girls in engineering, feminist studies, women in public policy, women re-entering the workforce, services for survivors of relationship abuse, resources for homeless women and women’s economic self-sufficiency.
